My camera and lens

Browse By

When I started this blog, I had no idea how to use a DSLR, no idea about lens and no idea about blogging in general. After 5 years, I’ve learnt how important is the photography in a blog and how important is to invest in this little project. I started in 2010 taking pictures of myself with a mobile phone, then I bought a Samsung digital camera and two years later I invested in my actual DSLR. I choosed a DSLR Nikon D3000 and the standard kit lens: 18-55mm.

I used this lens exclusively for outfit photos, and in a short period of time I felt that I needed more. So I investigated on internet and I found some great recommendations about the 55-200mm lens and I bought it!

This lens was even better that the first one, I really noticed about the different in my photos and I really enjoyed taking photos with it. What’s happened? I moved from Malaga to London! haha!

In Malaga the sun shines everyday, there is natural light to take photos for long hours and this not happens in London. I needed something that brings me even more light because my pictures were losing quality and It started to be so difficult to take daily photos for my blog.
I asked to some photographers friends looking for advice and they told me about flashes and other stories that I really found so complicated and finally I decided for a new lens: 50 mm f/1.8
And for those who asking me every week, this is what  I’m actually using for my pics. I use it for all, It’s the most comfortable way for me to keep up the quality I really like.

Nikon lenses are prefect for fashion bloggers (in my opinion). I recently purchased the same lens 50 mm f/1.8 over the summer for a newborn session. First time, ever! & the photos turned out beautifully.

Yo tengo ganas de una lente del tipo de la última pero los precios me echan mucho para atrás!

I finally purchased a DSLR camera a year or so ago and I am still trying to learn how to properly use it. But it does take much better photos.
