Ferragudo: The unknown gem of the Algarve (Part 2)
Ferragudo: The unknown gem of the Algarve
I could spend all my day taking lots of photos and strolling the streets of this beautiful town. Ferragudo is tiny, colorful and undeniably charming. Its Castle of Arade and its beautiful church are the most interesting points. There is a lovely walk up the paved narrow streets to reach the Church of Ferragudo where you can enjoy a nice viewpoint for sunset over the Arade River and surroundings. Don’t miss it!
About the town
Ferragudo is a Portuguese civil parish at the western border of the municipality of Lagoa. A little fishing village full of tiny streets and colorful spots. The best way to explore the village is on foot as its charm resides in the labyrinth of cobbled streets that run around the central square, down to the waterfront and uphill to the church.
