Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta. Snapshots.

Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta.Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta

10 o’clock in the morning. Monday. Starting a new week and spending time on my desk, working and looking through my window. I feel a bit desperately about this gloomy London weather… just makes me feel that I need to escape to some truly paradise! So I think I probably need a vacation, like my last one trip to Thailand… Believe me, I can’t get out of my head all these fabulous beaches and landscapes. I spent an absolutely lovely time there and I wish I could do it again, but for now…

I guess that I’ll have to put up with all my photo diaries.

Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta.During my trip to Thailand, I ended up staying in Koh Lanta for a little bit longer than expected. After spent some days in Krabi and its amazing treasures like Railay Beach, I couldn’t wait to arrive there and ask about Koh Lanta’s beaches…

Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta.
Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta.Ba Kantiang Bay was one that local people recommended me and obviously, I decided to spend a morning there. My first impression was like wooww…this is a truly paradise! The beach was completly empty in high season, it had clear water, a bright blue sky, lots of palm trees and fresh coconuts…The perfect place to relax!

Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta. After looking at all my photos as long as I can remember this was like a dream come true! Can’t wait to share more photos from this time!

From the pictures, it seems like its a place where you can go and forget about the world outside. A place where you can just laze, relax and lose your daily stresses. I’m sure you came back thoroughly refreshed.

Wow amazing pictures! This post now has me longing for a beach vacation! Your IG is beautiful!

I’ve often heard it said that the nearby Phi Phi Islands in Thailand are no longer the paradise Islands they once were. It seems very much as though western tourism has claimed another victim, unfortunately for those tourists looking for real culture and not just a booze cruise. I’ve also heard that Koh Lanta is a great alternative, much quieter and most typically Thai. Really nice shots too

I love when you have a travel plan but you end up staying longer in one place because you love it so much! I did the same in Peru and barely saw anything of Lima, because I didn’t have any more time left. I have never been to Thailand because I always thought it was so touristy, but it looks like Ba Kantiang is the opposite.

Ok now i’m annoyed i skipped Koh Lanta when I was in that area a few years back! I miss that laid-back beach life. I’m exact same as you, love looking back at pics of shinier days while I’m sat in the UK hating the gloomy weather. Whenever I return to Thailand, I’ll definitely go to Phuket and Koh Lanta. Missed them both.

I always saw a lot of great pictures of Thailand, a lot of places I’ve never heard about but that I’d like to visit no matter what, but still, I’ve never made to go there. Which are the best months to visit it? I’m pretty sure for me it would be easier to go in December rather then August, but since it should be high season, it’s still worth it?

wow I have never heard of Ba Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta and what a gem it is. I can see what you still thinking about it now in London. I love beaches especially when there is no one on them. I love those huts along the water too. One for the bucketlist.

    Bucket list updated!

This place looks lovely and deserted. It seems you found a great spot away from the crowds. Such a nice escape

I lived in Hawaii and I know what you feel like, sitting back home working with your head still in paradise. Amazing photos! I’ll be spending Christmas on a beach near Krabi. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos!

Going through all my travel pictures when I’m back home in my ordinary life is one of my favourite hobbies. It’s almost as relaxing as actually being there. But what I was wondering, did you travel during off season or did you just find some secret beaches? All the beaches in your pictures look wonderfully quiet and empty 🙂

The cottages along the bay on Koh Lanta look surreal. Did you stay in one of those? The sandy beaches flanked by palm trees and coconut trees are unbeatable for some laid back experience.

This beach looks amazing, I’m also quite surprised that it was so empty considering how busy Thailand is in high season! Thanks for sharing your great photography, I can’t wait to visit myself one day!

  15. Jitaditya says:

For a change it looks very peaceful..
I mean, do not see much crowd….
Such beaches are hard to find nowadays…

  16. Lee Rosales says:

A very simple beach yet super relaxing for me. Sometimes I like a place like this. Less people and you can really think and walk around the beach

  17. Vyjay says:

Thailand is an exotic country with so many lovely islands and beaches, that your are spoiled for choice. Places like Phuket, Krabi are veritable paradises and also well known. However I am really fascinated by the relatively unknown jewels that dot the country.

  18. Sia says:

I love photo essays! Sometimes you don’t need much text in order to show a place. The bay looks fantastic and it is great that you had the beach all to yourself.

  19. Yenor says:

Looks like a sweet place to chill and level yourself out. Will be on my to-do list when I head to Asia next year. thanks for sharing!
