Scenes from Alvor,
fishing village in the Algarve
The little town that meets charm, love, art, food, architecture and the desire to stay forever in it. I miss that place so bad already. A tiny place that has become my favorite one of the entire Algarve. I miss the sunshine and that characteristic smell of sun lotions, spending complete mornings at the beach and taking endless strolls around the town in the evening… Today I am sharing some pictures from my time there. Hope you like them!

About the town
Alvor is a seaside resort and fishing village in the Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region. The 16th century Igreja Matriz church rises above the old town, while 3 Islamic shrines (morabitos) evoke the area’s Moorish heritage. Cobbled lanes lead down to the paved riverfront, which is lined with bars and seafood restaurants. The wetlands of the Alvor river estuary provide a habitat for resident and migratory birds.
